WEB SERVER Installation & Configuration in windows Server 2012

To install and configure a web server on Windows Server 2012, you can follow the detailed instructions below: 

1. Launch the Server Manager by clicking  the "Server Manager" button; icon in the taskbar or by searching for it in the Start menu. 

2. In the Server Manager window, click  the Manage menu and choose Add Roles and Features. 

3.The Add Roles and Features Wizard opens. Click next to continue. 

4. Select "Install based on roles or features"; and click on the “Next” button.  

5.Select the appropriate server from the server pool on which you want to install the web server and click Next. 

6. Select Web Server (IIS) from the list of server roles. and click on the “Next” button. 

7. A preview of the selected role is displayed.Click next to continue. 

8. In the feature selection, leave the default features selected or select the additional features you need for your web server. Click next to continue. 

9.On the Web Server (IIS) Role  screen, review the information and click Next. 

10. Select the role services you want to install. Commonly chosen role services include "Web Server"; "General HTTP Functions"; "Static Content"; "Standard Document"; “Browse directories” "HTTP Error" "ASP.NET" "ISAPI Extensions"; and "ISAPI Filters"." Customize your selection to suit your specific needs. Click next to continue.  

11. On the confirmation screen, review your choices and click Install. to start the installation process. 

12.Wait for the installation to complete. This can take a few minutes. 

13. When the installation is complete, click  the Close button. Button. 

14.To verify that the web server is installed and working properly, open a web browser on the server or another computer connected to the network and enter the server's IP address or hostname in the address bar. If  the default IIS home page is displayed, the web server has been successfully installed and is available.  

The web server (IIS) has been installed and configured  on Windows Server 2012. The web server can be further customized and configured according to specific needs such as creating websites, configuring SSL certificates and managing permissions.

1. سرور منیجر کو لانچ کریں۔ اس کے لئے ٹاسک بار میں "سرور منیجر" پر کلک کریں یا شروع مینو میں تلاش کریں۔
